Functional Description
Requirements: operational fragility: antenna shall withstand 5 foot drop and free-fall drop of 36" onto concrete, antenna shall operate after being immersed in 1 meter of water between 7 and 27 degreesc for 1hr, antenna shall withstand rain of 1.8"/hr for 40 minutes, 0.25" ice, 20.0mm falling snow, 40, 000 feet altitude, 48hr exposure to salt fog and spray with concentration of 5% weight, 30 minutes exposure to sand blown at velocity of 20mph, 44mph wind for 15 minutes, antenna shall be operable by operators wearing mopp level 4 for nbc exposure, antenna shall endure solar radiation of 1120 w/ (squared), fungus and thermal shock when subjected changes from -35f to 70f / 15min and from 120 to 70f/15min, ultra violet radiation exposure for 2yrs (30 days x 24 deployments)
